Our Up-time Guarantee is very simple. We guarantee that your web site will experience 99.9% or better up-time during the course of any calendar month. If we do not provide 99.9% up-time, we will provide a pro-rated refund of your hosting fees for the month affected. This does not include scheduled upgrades.

How fast are your web servers?
We like speed as much as you and will not skimp on this. We run powerful Dell Quad-Core Intel Xeon systems with 8 GB+ of RAM. RAID 5 Terabyte drives and redundant power supplies with seperate power feed sources. On those servers we run 64-bit CentOS Enterprise Linux specifically tailored and optimized for the fast serving of your website.
Are there any account startup fees for shared hosting?
There is no account startup fee. There are no necessary annual or six month terms. 
Is there a minimum time commitment or contract for hosting?
With us you can choose any term from one month to three years. You don't need to order an entire year or two in advance. We do this because we believe you will be happy with us. You can discontinue service at any time.
How quickly are accounts set up?
We setup hosting and domain accounts immediately upon approval. Other packages and special requests will be setup within 24 Hours and most often within just a couple hours.
How do you bill for your services?
On the anniversary date of your selected term. You will receive a invoice before the due date. If you pay by credit card, payments are automated for you.

Do you offer any kind of stat programs?
We offer three different stat progams. Analog, Awstats and Webalizer. Analog produces a simple summary of all the people who have visited your site. It is fast and provides great lightweight statistics. Awstats produces great graphical stats. Webalizer is a more complex stats program that produces a nice variety of charts and graphs about who has visited your site.
Do you charge for changes in mx records?
It's free! Simply go into your control panel, click mail manager, modify mail exchanger and you can change your mx records. 
Do you host adult oriented websites?
Sorry, we do not host adult websites.
How do I point my domain to my hosting account with UltraWebsiteHosting?
You will need to go to your registrar (where you registered the domain name) and modify the Domain Name Server (DNS) to UltraWebsiteHosting. Registrars usually have a username and password that you log in with to make the modifications. If you purchased your domain through us we do all of this for you.

What is domain propagation?
Once you make changes to your domain with the registrar you purchased your domain from, the changes will take 12-72 hours for domain propagation to occur. Domain propagation is the process of your registrar handing off the changes to your domain to ISPs, ISPs to other ISPs and so on until you see the changes reflect on your computer with your internet service provider. Some service providers update their records more often than others and receive changes faster. As a result of this, often you will not be able to get to your website by its' domain name but a friend can. Simply wait out until the changes propagate to your ISP. In the meantime we provide you an IP and temporary address in your welcome email which allow you to start working on your site immediately!
How do I upload my web site via FTP?
To start you will need a FTP program. You can use any standard FTP Client to upload files to your account.

You can also use the integrated file manager within the control panel to upload files. If you use FrontPage, Dreamweaver or similiar programs that support ftp, you can use those as well.
What website design software do you support?
Our web servers support Microsoft Frontpage Extensions (up to version 2003), as well as all major design programs that use FTP for uploading or downloading website updates.
Do you have Windows Servers?
The operating system you run on your home PC does not have to be the same as our servers. Most of our clients run Windows. Our servers are ran with 64-Bit CentOS Enterprise Linux. ASP.NET 2.0 is available on some of our servers.
Can I check my email from the web if I am away from my computer or out of town?
Yes, we will provide you with a web site address so you can check and respond to your email even if you are away from your computer. So, all you need is access to the Internet.
What happens if I go over my bandwidth limit?
Our Ultra package allows for an unlimited amount of traffic and is only limited to file and directory inode numbers, processor and memory usage. For our other plans which allow for larger processor and memory usage we offer a great number of upgrade paths if ever needed which allows you to grow your website with our service. 
I uploaded my site but I can't see it, why?
Please keep in mind that domain name registration or modification may take up to 48 hours to change and propagate. You can check our domain whois tool frequently to check for changes. We will give you the address on our servers upon signup where you can access your page until the dns zone transfers occur.
I am getting an error. Can you help troubleshoot it?
We are happy to help out with any error messages. Quickly check our hosting knowledge base. It may have exactly what you are looking for. If not throw us a hosting support ticket and we will be happy to check it out for you.
Can you write a script for me?
We do not write scripts but will be more than happy to guide you in the right direction. Most the time the script you have in mind has already been created by someone. A great source for scripts is cgi-resources.com and php resource index.
